The course includes evening theory sessions at Red Gables in Stowmarket. Practical sessions are held in a member’s apiary with opportunity to handle bees in a working hive.
The course fee of £55 includes an appropriate beekeeping book for beginners. Couples at the same address will each receive a different publication.
Further information can be found on the attached flyer. A £10 deposit is necessary to secure a place as we are limited to 20 students. Final payment is due by 31 January 2020.

You may have seen some of Stewart Spinks’ videos on You Tube (Norfolk Honey Company) covering a wide range of the elements of Beekeeping. Stewart is a very knowledgeable Beekeeper as well as being friendly and approachable. He has kindly agreed to come to Stowmarket to give a presentation to our members if there is enough interest. The suggested date is Thursday 16th January at the Red Gables 19:30, if you would like to attend please could you respond accordingly within the next few days, so that we can confirm whether there is sufficient interest for the presentation is to go ahead.

Potato Day, Saturday, 8th February. Stonham Barns has asked Stowmarket Beekeepers to take a stand at the above and it would be amazing if one or two of you would volunteer to man it. The event timings are 9.30am-2pm and the Association has all the necessary display materials. Please get in touch if you are interested.
